Foil painting 

You need: 

  1. Tin foil 

  1. Various colours of paint 

  1. Paintbrushes 

 

How to make it: 

  1. Separate the various paints into pots. 

  1. Prepare the tin foil by laying out a strip of it where the child intends to work.  

How it can be used to support learning: 

  1. Using a tool for a functional purpose i.e. brush to paint 

  1. Tracking as they mark make 

  1. Knowing that their actions produce a result 

  1. Hand awareness- where are their hands and how do they need to be moved to create an effect? 

  1. Making horizontal, vertical and circular marks using their hands or a brush 

  1. Isolating a finger to mark make
