Sensory Spaces
Two sensory rooms allow children to explore, control their surroundings and motivate children to move independently. The sensory rooms help children respond to visual stimulation and develop scanning, focusing and tracking skills, cause and effect, and anticipation. Three ball pool and soft play areas offer opportunities to practice physical skills, communication and concept-based learning in motivating contexts. Children learn about sharing space around them and developing relationships with others. Two dedicated sensory circuits enable children to engage in planned programmes to regulate themselves, focusing on alerting, calming or organising activities, depending on individual needs.
