Toucan provides childcare for children who are two years old and who have a complexity of need. We are designed specifically for children with complex needs and provides an Accessible and appropriate first early years experience.  Toucan is based at Willow Dene Swingate Lane.

We provide an environment which is safe, stimulating, nurturing and accessible.  Children and their families are at the centre.  Time, care and support are all priorities. We consider what children and families need and build provision around this.  

We are a team of exceptional practitioners working as part of an extensive multi-disciplinary team of specialists. Our area of expertise is working with very young children who have complex needs. Toucan is led by an experienced early years teacher and a skilled team with specialist knowledge of early child development.  There is a high ratio of adults to children. 

Children will be supported to move on to their next setting by the staff team in Toucan who will also write each child’s detailed observations, two year report and play passport.
